
To mark the end of the month long “Bed In” exhibition at The Bluecoat, Sense of Sound Singers has been invited to close the event with a bang. That “bang” being a half hour performance on the bed which has occupied the hub space within the Bluecoat for the past 4 weeks.
The performance which runs on Saturday 20th November from 2.45pm will be filmed specially for a YouTube film so watch this space.
The event is free and is a perfect opportunity for the public to see how Sense of Sound Singers carries out rehearsals, tackles improvisation and performs songs.

Soul, laughter and tears, Sit back and enjoy the enticing scent of Lavender featuring music & comedy at our home-grown cabaret night featuring award winning MC Rosie Wilby featuring Jennifer John accompanied by guitarist, Ogo, Stella Duffy and Angela Clerkin. This performance is part of the Homotopia festival.

Juliet Russell’s new video for the track Lazy will be shown at the Holland Animation Festival this weekend. This film beautifully crafted and well worth a viewing. The festival runs from 3rd – 7th November and you can view the video on Thursday at 4.30pm and Saturday at 10.3oam:

GBC, Sense of Sound’s fabulous youth choir will be supporting and singing with BBC 1′s “Any Dream Will Do” finalist Daniel Boys as he promotes his recent, critically acclaimed debut album So Close... at Greenwich Theatre, London on Wednesday 27th October at 7.30pm. As part of Youth Music week, our youth choir, GBC will be giving a special “pop-up” performance at Spitalfields Market, London at 1.30pm, outside Leon and Canteen, near the old market

Wednesday 3rd November- “Finaleâ€- 6-9:30pm:
This event is the final event in celebration of Youth Music Week and will showcase the music created earlier in the week and other performances from local young musicians who have participated in music week. Not to be missed.
This performance will take place at The Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool City Centre, L1 3BX and is free to attend.

Monday 1st November- “Acoustic Rap/Poetry/Singing performance”-6-9:30pm:
A chilled out evening of performances from young musicians and vocalists who have been involved in all Youth Music Week events around Merseyside.
The performance will take place at The Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX from 6pm-9.30pm and is free to attend

Wednesday 27th October sees our “Song in a Day†project which runs from 12-5pm This event is for 14-24 year olds and will take place at The Door, Hanover Street, Liverpool, L1 3DY
This is a full 5 hours focusing on the practice of developing and creating a song. It will be broken into 3 workshops, ‘Production and Beats’, ‘Instrumentation’ and ‘Vocals, Melodies and Lyrics’. By the end of the sessions the participants will have created and recorded a song. Very exciting and challenging!

Sense of Sound will be leading the singing strand of workshops at this year’s MOBO Academy.
On Monday 18th and 19th October there will be a series of seminars, showcases and workshops which is all geared towards empowering the next generation of singers, music makers, moguls, emerging industry professionals, students, DJs and emcees
The event will take place at the Contemporary Urban Centre (CUC) and will include master classes, open mic sessions, a music market, vocal/production/DJ workshops and a series of seminars, as well as exclusive video and short films screenings.
