On Saturday 16th February, in celebration of World Thinking Day in Liverpool, 6000 Girlguides will congregate at Liverpool’s new Echo Arena to participate in this extraordinary multi-media event.
Sense of Sound is delighted to have been given the contract to provide the singing workshops to prepare the girls for this wonderful participatory celebration.
Other partners involved in the project include Liverpool Samba School, Liverpool Lantern Company, Urban Strawberry Lunch, Osun Arts Foundation and Walk the Plank amongst others.
What a great time we all had. The enthusiasm of the team was infectious!Guides are well used to impromptu singing so it was good to have some teaching and professional input. Thanks to you all.
Yesterday afternoon over 600 Brownies, Guides and adults congregated in Liverpool’s magnificent Anglican Cathedral not knowing what to expect! For over one & half hours Saphena and her super team worked hard to teach us new songs and coach us so that we were pitch perfect for the World in One City grand finale in the Liverpool Echo Arena. And what a show we put on - around 1500 of us sang our hearts out and we brought the house down! Absolutely brilliant experience!
A big thank you to Saphena and her team who made it possible.

What a wonderful experience for all those girls and then to be able to perform at the arena. They were very enthusiastic learners thanks to the team that led them - well done everybody. A day to remember and an experience of a life time - young or old.
