Jennifer John is the founder and Artistic Director of award winning music company, Sense of Sound. Her work as a choral director, vocal arranger and performer spans 30 years and has seen her working internationally alongside some of the most established artists within the commercial music industry including Damon Albarn, Thea Gilmore, Paco Peña, Brian Eno, Jon Bon Jovi and Paloma Faith.
Her work as a singer, performance coach, vocal practitioner and choral director has seen her featured on Gareth Malone’s BAFTA winning The Choir: Boys Don’t Sing and Last Choir Standing. Her specialism within the world of choral direction is a- cappella singing which incorporates the development of vocal technique, improvisation and composition.
Currently she is the lead singing in Killerfernandez and alongside her writing partner, Philipp Moll is excited to be producing album no. 2 in the spring of 2016.”
The Free Voice masterclass will include physical and vocal warm up techniques, vocal techniques and choral dynamics. The workshop will be a-cappella and will focus on different musical styles of soul, jazz and pop.
There will be a chance to ask questions about vocal development and we will discuss the importance of performance delivery and focus. All of the above will be approached with good humour and a lot of fun.
